Our baby Arm Warmers are a bolero style jacket, designed to be used over the top of any arms-out sleeping Swaddle, Sleeping Bag, Sleep Suit or Sleep Onesie. If your baby is wearing a sleeveless sleeping bag, you may notice their arms feeling cool during the coldest hours of the night. If this is causing them to wake, a little more warmth on the arms may be needed. The sleeves on the Arm Warmers are rated 1.0 TOG making them suitable as a mid-weight layer, and the foldover cuffs will help keep hands warm too.
We recommend the Arm Warmers are only used over a sleeveless sleeping bag, not one with sleeves. This will help your child maintain a comfortable temperature whilst sleeping and ensure they do not overheat. Hot tip - on transeasonal nights when it is warm at bed time but cools down during the course of the night, put your baby to sleep in their sleeping bag as normal, and add the Arm Warmers later in the evening before you go to bed. The position of the Arm Warmers on the body will not interrupt the natural sleeping position for healthy hip joint development.
Our Arm Warmers for baby are made with our signature premium GOTS certified organic jersey cotton with stretch for comfort. Natural fibres are better for sleeping for the simple reason they are breathable, and help your little one regulate their temperature overnight. Our certified organic fibres are also skin-friendly and sensitive on eczema and dry skin conditions. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes.

IMPORTANT - Stay with your child's normal sizing for their age. All our designs are made to accommodate braces and are a generous stretchy fit.
Sometimes you might be on the verge of two sizes. If you are ok to roll or cuff the sleeve/leg we suggest sizing up in this case. Common for babies around 2.5mths & 5mths. Message us to discuss your needs if unsure.
See individual Product descriptions for more specific sizing information
All our clothing is cut generously and allowances made for braces
We only suggest sizing up 1 size to accommodate spica cast

Waffle - thermal fabric that has a texture to it. Great for cool climates
Jersey (all our prints) - They heavier than a good quality t-shirt

How warm are the fabrics? Are these garments easy to dress my baby?
All our designs are aimed to achieve dressing without disturbing hip position
Our slouchies style pants (snap front/elastised waist style) are very stretchy and can be dressed like normal pants. Thread one leg into pants pull flat across the back and ease the other leg into stretched pants. Close snap front.
We suggest that our snappies pants, shorts, bloomers and onesies all go over the head.
