Our baby Arm Warmers are a bolero style jacket, designed to be used over the top of any arms-out sleeping Swaddle, Sleeping Bag, Sleep Suit or Sleep Onesie. If your baby is wearing a sleeveless sleeping bag, you may notice their arms feeling cool during the coldest hours of the night. If this is causing them to wake, a little more warmth on the arms may be needed. The sleeves on the Arm Warmers are rated 1.0 TOG making them suitable as a mid-weight layer, and the foldover cuffs will help keep hands warm too.

We recommend the Arm Warmers are only used over a sleeveless sleeping bag, not one with sleeves. This will help your child maintain a comfortable temperature whilst sleeping and ensure they do not overheat. Hot tip - on transeasonal nights when it is warm at bed time but cools down during the course of the night, put your baby to sleep in their sleeping bag as normal, and add the Arm Warmers later in the evening before you go to bed. The position of the Arm Warmers on the body will not interrupt the natural sleeping position for healthy hip joint development.

Our Arm Warmers for baby are made with our signature premium GOTS certified organic jersey cotton with stretch for comfort. Natural fibres are better for sleeping for the simple reason they are breathable, and help your little one regulate their temperature overnight. Our certified organic fibres are also skin-friendly and sensitive on eczema and dry skin conditions. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes.

Which braces do our designs work with?

We have had children wearing our clothing under/over

- Pavlik harness

- Rhino brace

- Correcto brace

- Denis Browne Hip Abduction Brace

- Spica Cast (Spica with bar we suggest the snap crotch pants and shorts)

 ...

Which size do I buy?

IMPORTANT - Stay with your child's normal sizing for their age. All our designs are made to accommodate braces and are a generous stretchy fit.

Sometimes you might be on the verge of two sizes. If you are ok to roll or cuff the sleeve/leg we suggest sizing up in this case. Common for babies around 2.5mths & 5mths. Message us to discuss your needs if unsure.

See individual Product descriptions for more specific sizing information

All our clothing is cut generously and allowances made for braces

We only suggest sizing up 1 size to accommodate spica cast

...

What do the fabrics feel like? How warm/cool are they?

Our fabrics are all very high in cotton and have stretch (elastane) We have ordered our fabrics from heaviest to lightest weight below

Fleece & French terry - Heaviest Fabric like a tracksuit material. These products are not for use while sleeping.

Waffle - thermal fabric that has a texture to it. Great for cool climates

Jersey (all our prints) - They heavier than a good quality t-shirt

Ribb -  Like a really good quality tee. Great to layer over with. The lightest of our fabrics. The Ribb in the shorties collection is the lightest of our stretchy fabrics

Bamboo/Elastane - super cool and light weight. Perfect against sensitive skin

100% Cotton -  The lightest weight of all our fabrics includes our gauze tops, cotton bloomers & harness covers.

...

How warm are the fabrics? Are these garments easy to dress my baby?

All our designs are aimed to achieve dressing without disturbing hip position

Our slouchies style pants (snap front/elastised waist style) are very stretchy and can be dressed like normal pants. Thread one leg into pants pull flat across the back and ease the other leg into stretched pants. Close snap front.

We suggest that our snappies pants, shorts, bloomers and onesies all go over the head.

...

Do your designs work after the brace?

YES! Families have told us how great our designs are beyond the brace, lasting a long time. Perfect for over cloth nappies too.

...

What are our exchange & returns terms?

CLICK HERE to see full terms. Will we exchange? Yes, must be new with tags & returned within our term agreement.

...

How do I care for the garments?

All our garments are made with no pre-washing. We have allowed for shrinkage in the make and design. We highly recommend cold water & line dry. Hot washing will cause garments to shrink more than we have allowed.
.
Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean our products due to shrinkage and damage to fabric. Heat will affect snaps, elastics & trims More Care instructions are attached to our clothing garments and on each product description. CLICK HERE for more
